In Spanish, the word "luce" is taken from the verb "lucir" which means to shine or to illuminate. That is the mission of Studio Luce Books. To illuminate authors and their books, to make their work shine, and to show it off to the world.

Our writing retreat is run and managed by a team of people, yet Studio Luce Books is the work of Studio Luce Co-Founder and Director, Ben Crisp

He is a producer of original creative content, from videography to web design, social media to copy.

He is an author of one short story collection – to be published by Bridge House in 2025 and under the pen name, Ben Davies – and has a new novel on the way.

He has extensive experience marketing books and authors over the past 3 yrs, as well as 4 yrs. international experience directing communications for Guatemalan non-profit & 5 yrs. experience managing communications for UK-based design consultancy. He has a Masters in Journalism, with a varied portfolio of publications.
